What Alert Services do you offer?
Our alerts vary based on the type of online accounts you have.
Available alerts include:
- Daily Balance Alerts—receive your account balance information at the beginning of each business day.
- Threshold Alerts—receive notice when your account balance information is more or less than the amount you set.
- Market Alerts—Track the market and your favorite stocks, receive ticker, portfolio, and sector alerts via email or wireless phone. Market Alerts is a free service.
How do I enroll for an Alert Service?
- To select the Alert Service that you want, log in to Online Banking from the wachovia.com home page using your User ID and Password.
- On the My Accounts page, click on Alerts and Subscriptions in the Customer Service box on the right-hand side of the page.
- On the Alerts and Subscription page select either Balance Alert or Market Alert.
- If you select a Balance Alert, for each account, select to receive either Daily Balance Alert or Threshold Alert. Click Save.
- If you select Market Alert, complete the input fields for the Ticker you want, Alert Type, Value, and which email address to receive the alert. Click Save Changes.
Please note that pagers and wireless phones can only receive Balance Alerts.
Is there a fee to use alerts?
Receiving alerts is a free service offered by Wachovia.
How do I unsubscribe from Alert Services?
You may unsubscribe from your Alert Services anytime. To unsubscribe, log in to Online Banking. You may click on Alerts and Subscriptions in the Customer Service box on the right-hand side of the page. Select either Balance Alerts or Market Alerts. If you select Balance Alerts, you may click on Unsubscribe All to stop the alerts for all of your accounts or unsubscribe to individual accounts by selecting Do not alert me for this account. If you select Market Alerts, select Delete beside the alert you wish to stop and then click Save.
How do I change an email address?
- To change your email address(es), log into Online Banking from the wachovia.com home page.
- Select the Customer Service tab.
- Select Change Email Address under My Profile.
- Select the email address you would like to change by clicking on Edit. Or you may click on Delete to remove the email address from your list of email addresses.
- Enter the new email address, indicate if it is your primary address, and select which format you would like to receive email.
- Click Next. You will be presented with a verification page so you may review your changes.
- If the changes are correct, click Submit.
*Please note that if you would like to change your email address for Market Alerts, after clicking on Market Alerts under Alerts and Subscriptions, you will need to select the Delivery Address tab.
What if I am having trouble enrolling for the service?
If you're having trouble completing your enrollment, please call (800) 950-2296, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Why did I not receive my alert or notification?
The most common reasons are:
- Balance Alerts are not sent out on Sundays, Mondays, or bank holidays.
- Your email address is not functioning correctly. Contact the service that provides the email address.
- Your email address is incorrect. Check to make sure we have the correct address under Change Email Address on the Customer Service page.
*Please note that if you would like to change your email address for Market Alerts, after clicking on Market Alerts under Alerts and Subscriptions, you will need to select the Delivery Address tab.

How do I send my alerts to a different email address?
To send your alerts to a different email address, click either the Balance Alerts or Market Alerts link under Alerts and Subscriptions and choose from the list of email addresses currently on file for you.
How do I add a new email address?
Adding a new email address is simple. Just log in to Online Banking and click on the Customer Service tab. Then click Change Email Address under the My Profile section.

Can I use my pager email to receive Online BillPay Alerts?
At this time, the Online BillPay service cannot provide pager services for alerts and notifications.
Do I have to receive BillPay Alerts if I sign up for Online BillPay?
Yes, receiving alerts is part of the service for customers of Online BillPay.
