CODE OF CONDUCT AND ETHICS
While Wachovia has had a written code of conduct for many years, the board in 2003 approved a revised version that applies to Wachovia directors and employees, including our chief executive officer, chief financial officer and principal accounting officer. Designed to promote solid ethical and legal conduct, the code includes guidelines addressing the ethical handling of actual or potential conflicts of interest, compliance with laws, accurate financial reporting, and procedures for promoting compliance with, and reporting violations of, the code.
