First Union Elects New Board Members
CHARLOTTE - The board of directors of First Union Corporation today elected six new members, who were previously members of the board of directors of CoreStates Financial Corp. First Union acquired CoreStates on April 28, 1998.
The newly elected members joining the First Union board of directors are: - Ernest E. Jones, president and executive director, Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition;
- Terrence A. Larsen, former chairman and chief executive officer, CoreStates Financial Corp;
- Herbert Lotman, chairman and chief executive officer, Keystone Foods Corporation;
- Patricia A. McFate, senior scientist and program director, Center for National Security Negotiations, Science Applications International Corporation;
- James M. Seabrook, Sr., chairman, president and chief executive officer, Seabrook Brothers & Sons, Inc.;
- Raymond W. Smith, chairman, Bell Atlantic Corporation.
- With the addition of these new board members, First Union Corporation now has 28 members serving on its board of directors.
