Wachovia Announces Platinum Sponsorship of FELABAN
FELABAN is the Annual Latin American Banking Conference hosted by the Federation of Latin American Banks
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Wachovia announced today that it will be a Platinum Sponsor of the 2003 FELABAN Annual Assembly in Miami, November 23 - 25. Coordinated by the Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA), this conference is attended by representatives from more than 700 banking and financial institutions located in 19 countries throughout Central and South America.
"Our continued sponsorship of FELABAN speaks to our ongoing commitment to the banking community of Central and South America," said Carlos Perez, managing director and head of the Americas Group within Wachovia's International Correspondent Banking division. Additionally, FImetrix, a dedicated qualitative and quantitative market research and consulting firm in the field of international financial services, has ranked Wachovia's Latin American correspondent banking as: #1 in total customers and primary customers; #1 relationship managers in terms of calling frequency, building close relationships and responsiveness; and #1 for local customer service, largest market share in treasury clearing, commercial payments, documentary collections and letters of credit.
As a Platinum sponsor, Wachovia will host the opening night reception and maintain a booth at the show, which will display the products and services the International Correspondent Banking division offers.
