HELP WITH PODCASTS AND RSS

What are Podcasts?

Podcasts are regularly scheduled, downloadable audio broadcasts. You can use software such as iTunes, Yahoo Podcasts, and Google to subscribe. Wachovia uses RSS technology to deliver podcasts to your player.

What is RSS?

RSS, Really Simple Syndication, is a way Web sites can send you updates for their digital content, such as blogs, news feeds, or podcasts. When new content is available, an RSS reader will automatically check the feeds you have subscribed to, retrieve the content, and present it within your RSS reader.

How do I listen to Podcasts?

Wachovia podcasts will play on almost any player or audio software. Wachovia uses the popular MP3 format for audio broadcasts.

How can I subscribe to automatically receive new Podcasts?

You will need a free web service such as My Yahoo or Google to subscribe to podcasts. There are also several programs such as iTunes, Windows Media Player, and NewsFire that you can use to subscribe.

There are two ways you can subscribe to podcasts on wachovia.com:

  • Select the subscriber button provided for My Yahoo, Google, or iTunes.
  • Copy and paste the link provided into your RSS reader software.

Do I need an iPod?

No. Wachovia MP3 files will play on almost any player or with any audio software.

How much does it cost to subscribe?

Wachovia podcasts are free.
