With the Dinero Directo card, you can send money to your family or friends knowing that it will be immediately available to them—when they need it the most. Wachovia Dinero Directo is a prepaid card that offers you a secure and inexpensive way to send money to Mexico, Latin America, the Caribbean and Spain.

It’s faster and easier than wiring money:

You, as the sender, determine the value of the card (up to $1,000).
The recipient (your relative or friend) can use the card to withdraw money immediately, at more than 890,000 Visa^®/Plus^® ATMs locations around the world.*
Check your balance anytime at an ATM or online at wachoviadinerodirecto.com.
Add funds to the Wachovia Dinero Directo account at any time.

1. Open a Wachovia Dinero Directo account in a participating Wachovia Financial Center, and deposit up to $1,000. The card will be mailed to you in 7 to 10 business days.
2. Send the card to a relative or friend in Mexico, Latin America, the Caribbean or Spain.
3. Have the recipient contact you to confirm receipt of the card.
4. Activate the card and receive a PIN. Then, let the recipient know the PIN.
5. The recipient can then begin using the card and PIN to withdraw funds.
6. You can add funds to the Wachovia Dinero Directo account at any time.
