Request a Copy of Your Credit ReportTo receive a copy of your credit report for free, visit AnnualCreditReport.com or call (877) 322-8228. This centralized service for consumers was created by the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. AnnualCreditReport.com provides consumers with the secure means to request and obtain a free credit report once every 12 months from each of the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies in accordance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act). A credit report can also be ordered directly from each of the credit bureaus listed below. The reports are usually less than $10, but they are free if you've been turned down for credit, employment or housing in the past 60 days. Monitoring your credit is an easy step to take in protecting yourself from fraud and identity theft.
