Wachovia Online Security

Many banks, like Wachovia, secure the login area on their home page. We demonstrate the security of your login process by the pad lock above the "User ID box."

Secure home page login
Ensuring the security of your personal information online is important to us. When you log in to Online Services on our home page, your User ID and Password are secure.

The moment you select "Login," we encrypt your User ID and Password using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology.

Browser security indicators and secure home page login
You may notice when you are on our home page that some familiar indicators do not appear in your browser to confirm the entire page is secure. Those indicators include the small "lock" icon in the bottom right corner of the browser frame and the "s" in the Web address bar (for example, "https"). However, when you log in to Online Services on our home page, your User ID and Password are secure. The moment you select Login, we encrypt your User ID and Password using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).

To provide the fastest access to our home page, we have made logging in to Online Services secure. Again, please be assured that your User ID and Password are secure.

Note: If you're using a public or shared computer, don't check the "Remember my User ID" box. When your User ID is "remembered" it will appear the next time anyone visits wachovia.com from the same computer.
